 Considered by many fans to be the best album of the band, One-X was recorded while the main vocalist, Adam Gontier, was in treatment at an addiction center. Tormented by the drug addiction, his lyrics were filled with anguish and agony, but still had a certain flourish of hope and determination.

Over and Over


Adam might have fell over and over for drug addiction, but he perfectly capted the feeling of not being able to resist to something, in a way that tousands of unrequited love victims can relate to...

Pain


At first, Pain gives the impression to be an emo depressing song. However, the singer reveals to like the pain, in a phrase that defines an unexpected love story: "I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all".

Animal I Have Become


Sometimes you may get scared with the things you are capable of... you may feel unable, or even unwilling, to be part of the civilization. You may feel like... an animal.

Never Too Late


You might not see an exit. You might not see a way out of all the mess your life has turned into... but it's not too late. It's never too late to do the right thing.
